Hello! My name is Helena. I have worked at Yellowstone for over a year! I can’t believe how quickly this past year has flown by.
What do you do besides working at Yellowstone?
I am a singer-songwriter and play at venues, weddings and festivals. I listen to lots of folk music, drink plenty of herbal tea and go on many adventures in nature (now on my new bicycle!). I also offer song writing and weaving workshops in different schools.
What is your favourite item at Yellowstone?
My favourite maker has to be Emma Louise Wilson. I adore her beautiful, intricate and carefully detailed ceramics that are so calming to look at. Lauren kindly treated me to one of her bowls for Christmas, as I spoke about her so much to our customers! It sits lovingly on my desk.
I’d like to think that I bring even more positivity to the shop. I adore Yellowstone; all of the displays, all of the work and the little details. It is a very happy place to work, and the fact that it is in a wooden cabin next to a lake makes it rather perfect!
What is your favourite time of year working at Yellowstone?
All days are wonderful to work at Yellowstone, however my favourite time is when the weather is being kind to us all, and the light shines through the shop so beautifully. It can be so golden!
and finally, Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I am really, really inspired to one day be able to grow all of my own herbs and flowers so that I can make my own tea. I’ve recently sown some camomile seeds.
