A few weeks ago I felt like I was at a little crossroads with my work/business and I needed a little bit of direction to get me on my way. Luckily enough, it fell when I'd booked to attend PaperFest and I tell you what, it did the trick!
So those of you who haven't heard of PaperFest- it is a day of inspirational speakers, arranged by Stationery Queens Abigail Warner and Lucy Ledger at the incredible London venue, One Marylebone. It was all things small business, creative and mainly Wedding vibes.

The Line up-
Anna Bond (Rifle Paper Co), Kate Halfpenny, Izzy Judd, Cutture, GFSmith, Charlotte Jacklin (Betty Magazine), Lara Watson (Mollie Makes Magazine), Charlotte O'Shea & Adam Crohill (Rock My Wedding), Miranda Dickinson, Peggy Porschen, Polly Alexandre & Jane Means
I'm going to be honest, Anna Bond swung it for me... and she was the most inspiring of the lot. It was reassuring to hear that Rifle have made mistakes over the years, and grown naturally to the flourishing company that they are, only five years in to their business. It hit home when she talked about the struggle of delegating and finding manufacturers because they are the two things I struggle with most. And I learnt priceless advice from Charlotte Jacklin & Lara Watson about press and blog coverage too. It was refreshing to be in a creative environment of likeminded people, at all stages of our careers. Kate Halfpenny and Peggy Porschen both mentioned the importance of a strong team, and how their colleagues and staff had really flourished with responsibility which made me realise how important my Yellowstone girls are. I've always know that I couldn't do this without them, but it suddenly hit me that the more responsibility I give them, the better they've all performed. I'm so lucky to have found staff that I whole-heartedly trust and who always step up and impress me.

I also used PaperFest as an opportunity to catch up with Yellowstone stockists Katie of Oh Squirrel and Jessica Hogarth and our favourite photographer Holly Booth. I also met some really lovely, honest, inspiring people throughout the day, who I'm positive I'll stay in touch with.
Aren't the photos of the day incredible? They are all the handywork of wizard photographer Holly Booth who I can't recommend highly enough. She'll even be photographing my invitations next month!
A huge thank you, to Abigail and Lucy, and everyone who made the day as impressive as it was. And I'm happy to say that I've worked like a trooper since that day!
